I stared at her as she stared at me and when I found it in her there was a moment of glee. It was short lived, we smiled, we danced and then when I kissed her I was in a trance. But I knew as I know every breath is dear that the world around me would just fear, and together we would go from dance to a flow that was more with swords and less with words. I wanted her to know, that the glee was there, but the words had turned to blades and the cutting wouldn’t fade until the blood like ink stained my hands, my head, my heart.
I was in a trance.
Breathe deep.
Come out.
You’re fine.

Vibration
It’s the shape of the letters
The consonants the vowels
A round O for shock
A small o for love
When you gasp in panic does it stretch to an A
Watch the letters dancing,
They leap off the lips
Watch them when you kiss me
When they twist , they hiss
It’s the shape of the letters when you sigh
You are mine
The consonants the vowels
They degrade
They die
when you absorb the spilled ink
How did we end here?
Did you begin, with my heart beat in your ears ?
Was I weeping from being born or from noting you?
Gone
Were we arrows, aimed at each other in the dark?
Or twists and turns, decisions made at stop lights throughout?
I missed you and I did not know
Until eyes lit fire, until blood pumped faster
When you smiled
I knew when my heart sighed, within me
Recognition
Pain
Fear
How did we end here?
Arrows, aimed at the dark sky
Following the course of the stars
